May Favourites

By Lea and Kim

Here are a few of our favourite new discoveries this month!

Lea’s May Favourites:

NYX Butter Gloss
I bought this lipgloss a couple of weeks ago and have been wearing it non-stop! I love how glossy and long lasting-ish it is (no lipstick is ever long lasting on me and I don’t know why 😢) I also love the colour I’ve got which is Gateau and I’m defo going to try some other ones out too! it’s just so worth the money, only £5.50!!

New Look Blue Jeans - High Waisted Hallie Jeans
I bought these jeans from New Look a few weeks ago when I went shopping as I didn’t have any light blue jeans for the summer! I didn’t actually want ones with rips in them but New Look didn’t have any others so I just took the leap and got them and I absolutely love them! They fit so well and they’re not even too long which is a blessing for my unbelievably midget height.

I Don’t Care - Ed Sheeran and Justin Bieber
I have been obsessed with this song since it came out and have seriously over played it but I just don’t care (LOL get it)! If you haven’t already given it a listen, first of all where on earth have you been and secondly, click the picture now!

The Receipts Podcast
This podcast has been a part of my weekly routine since late 2017, but it definitely deserves some added praise this month. It always has me giggling but I was in tears laughing at my desk at episode 68 which was released a couple of weeks ago. Definitely worth a listen if one of my 9357 subtle mentions of it hasn’t swayed you yet.

The Angel Comedy Club
I went to The Bill Murray location of this comedy club (they’ve got another location at the Camden Head). We were aiming to go for a free show but turned up a bit too late, (they mean it when they say get there extra early - and there's more time at the bar) so we bought tickets to the next paid show, Tommy Dassalo’s appropriately named 'Balding Cherub’. He was an extremely likable guy on the stage and even turned his insecurities into lighthearted joke whilst also showing how he managed to deal with them. Check them out if you’re interested in stand up! angelcomedy.co.uk/

This Midi Skirt
This skirt is something I never would’ve picked up a couple of years ago and this hesitation is reflected by the fact that it’s taken me nearly half a year to wear it out. But I love it now. It’s so easy to dress up or down but also so much comfier than trousers, win-win. From Stradivarius for around £16.
