We’re both students at university, and met while working together on our placement year in London (Uxbridge, if you would consider that London). We have moved away from home to study, Kim moved to York from Essex, while Lea moved (slightly further) from Dubai to Exeter. The two of us are trying to strike a balance between work life/social life/family life/relationships/keeping fit/saving money/treating ourselves despite trying not to.
Why we started a blog
To explain the name, we’ve made a ritual of our tea breaks at work and use them as a time to catch up and chat about stuff more interesting than our tasks on the job.
We want this blog to represent exactly that, something we do outside of work; something we enjoy a little more than just scouring Netflix for the next best series to binge watch (but if you haven’t already, watch Good Girls - it’s a rollercoaster ride of a series that won’t fail to give you a giggle).
What you can expect
We’re two very different people with a range of interests and so, we thought a blog would be the best way to talk about the topics that are important and interesting to us. We’ll be writing posts individually and together, as well as working with our friends on some topics.
This is a space to post about our views and experiences of the different aspects of our lives. So expect posts about university and working life, fitness or lack thereof, music, beauty, food and meal prepping, as well as all things London and ways to save money based on our experiences.
