Restaurant Review: Thaikhun

By Lea

On Friday evening, Will and I were feeling a little too lazy to cook and luckily he lives so close to town, so we ventured into Bath to grab a quick dinner.

From the moment we approached Thaikhun I felt like we had been transported to the streets of Thailand.
You can see the kitchen and the chefs cooking, and the smell of the food is so enticing! The furniture and all the little trinkets on the table were all very authentic and the decor makes you feel like you’re literally in Koh Samui (which I miss SOOOO much btw!!!)
With the hot weather we are having here this bank holiday and the decor of this restaurant, we really did feel like we were on the streets of Thailand!

The service at Thaikhun was amazing, all the staff were so attentive - I am annoyingly allergic to a lot of things so it doesn’t make eating Asian food easy, even though I love it so much, but they were very helpful here with everything!

We had been drinking all day and I had quite a sore throat so we didn’t get any drinks but the drinks on the menu were surprisingly cheap! They had 3 categories of cocktails ranging from £5 - £7.50!🍹

The food was DIVINE! We weren’t too hungry so we only got one dish each. I had the Garlic and Black Pepper Beef with Chillies, which came with classic Jasmine Rice and Will had the Chicken Pad Thai. Both the dishes were insanely yummy and tasted so authentic. I also noticed that they had quite a lot of vegan options on the menu too which is good to see🌱 AND they had Sriracha on the table, which made me v happy as I drowned my food with it🍚🍜🌢

I honestly cannot recommend this restaurant enough! I have only been this once but I completely fell in love with the whole feel of the place and the food itself. I am so glad Will and I decided to get our arses off the sofa and head to Thaikhun so I could experience Thailand in BathπŸŒΆπŸ‡¨πŸ‡·

There are a few Thaikhuns scattered around the UK, so click here to see where your closest one is.
