For months now, our friend Harry hasn’t been able to stop talking about “the best steakhouse in London”, Hawksmoor.
So on Friday (yesterday) I took Will to Hawksmoor for his 22nd birthday (woop woop)🎈🎉!!
Everything about this restaurant was incredible. The atmosphere was lively yet not too loud, as a restaurant should be, and it is located only about a 2-minute walk from Covent Garden station, how convenient!

The service was impeccable! Our waiter was very attentive and had excellent drink and steak recommendations. He was an absolute laugh and even offered to take pictures of Will and I at the end, which he proceeded to take from so many different angles to give us a choice lol. I was very pleased and amazed by the level of service at Hawksmoor and can definitely say it’s one of the best restaurant services I have experienced.
Most importantly, the food… oh the food was to die for! I did completely forget to take a photo of the starter as I was so engrossed in it and very hungry (sorry). But for the starter, we shared the Fillet Carpaccio with Rocket, Parmesan and Wild Mushrooms. It was so delicious and had this slight vinegary taste to it which tied the whole dish together in my opinion (very impressed).

For the main, Will and I shared 600g of the T-Bone Steak (Medium Rare just in case you guys wanted to know) and ordered Beef Dripping Chips and Roasted Carrots as sides. The steak was cooked to perfection and was already cut up in slices around the bone so we didn’t have to do any of the hard work. The chips were heavenly and the carrots were very yummy too!
AND the cherry on top of this great restaurant experience: they gave us a complimentary dessert for Will’s birthday, which were 4 of these Dark Caramel chocolates (very delicious but very rich)!
I am very happy we chose this restaurant for Will’s birthday as I can honestly say it was such a perfect meal, atmosphere and food wise. We had a wonderful experience here and it was an amazing location to celebrate a birthday 😊

This restaurant is on the expensive side with the single steaks ranging from around £30 - £36, however, if you are looking for a steakhouse for a special occasion, or to just treat yo self, then Hawksmoor is perfect. There are other Hawksmoor locations around London too (never been before though) but I would highly and 100% recommend the Hawksmoor Seven Dials to anyone and everyone.
