Bank Holiday Weekend in Bath, England

By Lea

Thursday

After spontaneously deciding to join Will in Bath this weekend, we got on a National Express coach around 2:30pm. The coach was long and boring as all of them are but the weather was beautiful and the sun was shining the whole day so put us in a good mood for the long weekend ahead!

Our first evening in Bath was lovely - we had the nicest steak dinner (soz for the lack of pics due to my hunger lol), and then just chilled out on the sofa in front of the TV as we were tired from the travel all day😴

Friday

Friday morning was GORGEOUS! I had a well deserved lie-in and then we went to the shops for some last minute BBQ food shopping😏
The BBQ in the afternoon was actually divine! Check out the insane amount of mouth foods we had, all outside, in the sun, on the patio☺️🍹🌞
We also had a selection of cheese, crackers and grapes for dessert🤤🧀

Even after the huuuuuge meal we had at lunch, Will and I started to get a little hungry around 8pm so we ventured into town and went to Thaikun (check out our last blog post for my restaurant review on this place).

Saturday

Saturday, again, was a beautiful day. I started it off with a run with Will’s mum and doggo. I’ve really been trying to get into running lately as it’s so good for your fitness but I really dislike it.. so this wasn’t a long run but gotta start somewhere right?!

Will and I were planning to go to the Thermae Bath Spa on Saturday too, but when we got there the queue went on for about 3 miles.. and since we have been before, we decided to give it a miss this time :( If you haven’t already been to this spa, I highly recommend it! Along with other amazing amenities, it’s got a heated rooftop pool overlooking Bath! You can also get 3hrs for the price of 2hrs if you have the ‘Bath So Maps’ App, so download this and get an extra hour at this gorgeous spa!

Anyway... since we couldn’t go to the spa Will and I walked around the shops and did a little shopping (I got new white trainers from H&M and a sunglasses case finally!! from Tiger). We then decided to go for a drink at Hall and Woodhouse, which is a beautiful bar / restaurant that opens its rooftop bar in the summer, so it’s perfect for this wonderful weather☀️
I had a chilled evening in with Will’s mum as Will was out seeing some of his friends from school. His mum and I cooked a delicious curry and watched Legally Blonde💗

Sunday - Last day in Bath

On Sunday we woke up and had a very chilled out morning in front of the TV and then decided to walk (trek!!) to Alexandra Park with Ted (the dog)🌳 The weather was beautiful again so even though Will and I were suffering from hay fever throughout, we didn’t want to waste such a great day for a walk! 😪
We then packed our bags and headed for the bus station, back to London, back to reality!

It was such a lovely long weekend in Bath and this weather we are having is phenomenal.. reminding me a little of Dubai☺️☀️ Hope everyone had a great bank holiday and Easter too!
